Cafe Kowalski in Passau

Eat good. Big portion. Friendly service. Nice cozy ambience

Great ambience, beautiful view on the terrace in summer, nice staff, good food, low prices - everything fits here - it's not for nothing that I've been coming here for 25 years. Morning, noon, evening it is always the right time to take a quick look at Kowalski. It's a shame that the legendary Kowalski toast is no longer on the menu ... ?

I like the atmosphere very much! The establishment too. (She sure has a lot of exciting stories to tell.) The staff is very friendly, courteous and of course nice (very authentic, nothing fake). The food (Schlemmer-Schnitzel) was delicious. ... Remember: "In Bavaria there is unbreaded schnitzel with sauce ... Only the Wiener schnitzel is breaded!" The prices are reasonable and the view of the Inn is priceless. (On the balcony you sit directly above the busy Gottfried-Schäffer-Straße, but let yourself be picked up by the drizzling music that can be heard in the background. It's more relaxed ;-))

Very nice service and great view from the balcony over the water. Also comfortably furnished inside. Corona measures were all implemented well. Well suited to stop off before or after a visit to the theater Prices absolutely okay.

Very tasty food and reasonable prices. The atmosphere is also very nice, only on the terrace it is a bit noisy, as the street next to it is very busy.

The food was ok, but from my point of view the service could be improved. At the beginning the drinks menu was forgotten. The guest information capture was simply slapped on the table. No time was taken for us guests. The food was brought by another service member. It was not asked whether everything was in order and after clearing it was not asked for any further requests.

Great breakfast, a lot of choice and great staff. Any time.

The food and drink was good. The location is suitable for celebrating birthdays. Unfortunately, not five stars, because there were not enough service staff. Still, the two waitresses were very dedicated and did their best to keep the business going. - high praise for it! We would love to come back.

A visit to Kowalski is always worthwhile! Extensive menu and extremely delicious dishes. The choice is often difficult ?. Nice, attentive staff.

The food was unfortunately much better in the past, has decreased. The furniture could also be replaced :)

Very cool place, very nice cocktails and drinks. Extremely friendly staff, good prices for the quality. The terrace overlooking the river is also very cool.

Was here for the first time today. An institution in Passau. Pleasant ambience. Also announced by younger generation. Get a cozy patio space with a beautiful view of the River Inn.

Were greeted nicely and served. Nice view to the Danube .. actually wanted coffee and cake but the selection was too small so we decided on something warm. Every dish we had was delicious, however, we had to wait long for our food .Prices okay

The Cafe Kowalski is simply a real all-rounder in Passau. Whether I was there for breakfast, brunch or lunch / dinner, I was never disappointed. There is also a happy hour, where selected dishes are reduced by about one euro. The cafe is nicely decorated and the mood is always cozy. Great is also the balcony, on which one has on nice days a view of the Inn. Highly recommended are the cocktails that you can enjoy before partying. I really enjoy going to Kowi every time.

Nice place! Just avoid taking a croissant; it s not good here!

Waited ten minutes to order drinks, then another twenty to get the drinks which were warm by that point. Got another round for some reason and had the same issue. Then had to wait twenty minutes to pay after asking for the check. It looked like it wasn't due to staff shortage or busyness because I could see the waitresses talking amongst each other and standing around. Nice place otherwise but the wait service was so bad I'll never be back.
